From a young age, music has been an integral part of Josh’s life. His love for music began with singing gospel songs in church, receiving his grandmother’s guitar at age four, and listening to Hank Williams and George Jones songs with his Dad.

After being taught 3 chords by a local bluegrass player, Josh became dedicated to teaching himself how to play the guitar at the age of 12. From that time forward, he spent endless hours learning songs and playing in local bands.

He left his hometown in 2003 to attend the University of Kentucky, where he obtained a degree in Horticulture. While in college, Josh began playing and singing on front porches for his friends. With encouragement from his friends he began playing at The Paddock, a local tavern near campus. He was soon asked to play at Redmon’s, a music venue in downtown Lexington, where he played weekly for the next two years.

Following graduation, Josh left Lexington to pursue his life-long dream, a career in Country music. He arrived in Nashville in the fall of 2009 and soon began writing and recording music. His first CD, which was released in the October of 2010, featured five original songs and is a reflection of past experiences that he hopes listeners can connect with. Josh and his band spent most of 2011 promoting his self-titled E.P. by continuously playing venues across the Southeast.

Josh is currently in the process of recording his new album, which features the crowd favorite single, "Say it Ain't Over"! The new album is expected to be released in early 2012!

"Country Isn't A Genre Of Music, It's A Way Of Life...": Interview With Josh London

Josh London started playing in Lexington bars while attending UK and it didn’t take him long to build up a fan base that filled The Paddock, Redmon’s and other places nearly every weekend. About a year ago, Josh moved to Nashville to pursue his music career, and his first album, featuring 5 original songs, goes on sale on October 5. Josh is currently working on a tour to promote the album, but was able to take enough time out from tour planning to answer a few questions for Bazooka.

Bazooka: The last time I talked to you, you were thinking about trying to make a living doing music, but hadn’t decided for sure. Was there anything in particular that pushed you toward Nashville?

Josh London: Making the decision to pursue music as a career has been something I've struggled with for years. I'm relatively a shy person and I have had to work through that obstacle. I didn't purposely move to Nashville to play music, I moved here to work, but I knew in the back of my mind that I would pursue music.
